Title:
NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/150843
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which has enhanced durability against a charge and discharge cycle. The present invention pertains to a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which low-crystalline carbon-covered graphite is used as a negative electrode active material, wherein a cobalt-containing lithium transitional metal oxide is used for: a first positive electrode active material in which the volume per unit mass of pores having a pore size of 100 nm or less is 8 mm3/g or greater; and a second positive electrode active material in which the volume per unit mass of pores having a pore size of 100 nm or less is 5 mm3/g or less. Further, the first positive electrode active material is configured such that the volume per unit mass of pores having a pore size of 100 nm or less therein is at least four times as much as the volume per unit mass of pores having a pore size of 100 nm or less in the second positive electrode active material, and that the content of the first positive electrode active material accounts for 30 mass% or less with respect to the total amount of the first and second positive electrode active materials. Furthermore, a nonaqueous electrolyte which contains a lithium salt having an oxalate complex as an anion is used.
