Abstract:
Provided is a noncontact information medium including: a loop antenna which has a main loop arranged substantially around the entire circumference of a predetermined region on a flat plane and a coil which is wound in a region having an area smaller than the region surrounded by the main loop on the flat plane and is connected in series to the main loop for transmitting/receiving a radio wave to/from outside; a capacitor connected in parallel to the main loop; an IC chip which is connected in parallel to the capacitor, receives a radio wave propagating from outside, and transmits outside, a radio wave in response to the received radio wave; and an electric conductor which forms a pattern having a 180-degree rotational symmetry around a straight line, as a rotation axis, passing through a predetermined region of the flat plane and orthogonally intersecting the flat plane and arranged at a position to superimpose the coil in the direction orthogonally intersecting the flat plane.
