Abstract:
In the present invention, when a two-dimensional magnetic field distribution generated by the flow of current through a sample is measured and the site of an abnormality in the sample is detected, the change in the weak magnetic field originating at the site of the abnormality is effectively emphasized, and the site of the abnormality is precisely detected. A nondestructive test method in which a two-dimensional magnetic field distribution generated by the flow of a current through a sample 1 is measured, and the site 14 of an abnormality in the sample 1 is detected, wherein a calculation is made of the two-dimensional space difference distribution in which the space difference in the two-dimensional magnetic field distribution for a direction Y that is parallel to the direction 13 in which a main current flows within the sample is adopted. The magnetic field component in which the space difference is adopted serves as a magnetic field component in a direction X perpendicular to the direction in which the main current flows.
