The invention in particular is attached to the sole/heel of the shoes worn especially over snowy/icy surfaces in wintertime and configured for preventing injurious slips and falls that may occur during walking on snowy/icy surfaces, as follows;

- it relates to such a mechanism that there are a plurality of arms and spikes located inside of its main housing, and that in order to prevent any injurious slip of a person equipped with this mechanism; the slip-preventer elements are enabled through an actuating lever causing the spikes come into contact with the surface, and that if there is no snowy or icy surface, the mechanism is disabled, and it comprises of a main housing, compression springs, slip preventers moving part and compression part, actuating lever and lid.

FOR ME R TE C HNIQU E

In wintertime, snow/ice covers the roads and pavements on which people walks due to the weather conditions. People are required to walk on snowy / icy grounds, while trying to move from one place to another for their work in their daily lives.

The shoes worn by people tend to slip on snowy/icy grounds and accordingly cause them slip and fall that results physical in injuries. In the state of the art, there is nonslip soles developed for shoes/boots worn by people over snowy / icy surfaces, although it is assumed to be nonslip, by virtue of the fact that the soles of the said shoes/boots are made of rubber, and the rubber material hardens in cold weathers, therefore hardened rubber becomes slippery over snowy / icy grounds.

In the investigation of the state of the art, a patent application numbered

W02008046491 under the title of "Rotating anti-slip device for soles of footwear" has been found. In the abstract section of the application it is expressed that "the present invention relates to the shoe industry and a device is placed on the sole of a shoe and the person is required to equip his/her own shoe and easily prevents slips over snowy / icy asphalt pavements. S ince slip risk is high over snowy / icy asphalt pavements and also physical injury likeliness is possible, it is designed to prevent more serious occasions especially for certain persons or in certain cases".

When the abstract and content of the patent application numbered

W02008046491 is reviewed in detail, the subject matter seems to be an invention relating to an apparatus / device that is externally integrated to the base of the shoe for snowy / icy surfaces. These devices /apparatuses requires additional efforts such as carrying additional apparatuses to shoes, installation, removal, screwing of additional apparatus and restoration of the shoes. This situation brings time and cost losses along with it apart from additional efforts.

Due to the above mentioned negativity and problems encountered in the known case of the technique, as a result, an improvement is required in the respective technical field.

P UR POS E OF THE INVE NTION

Because of the disadvantages existing in the former technique, the invention intends to eliminate all disadvantages mentioned. The purpose of this invention relates to a mechanism attached to the shoes worn over snowy/icy surfaces during wintertime, and configured in order to prevent injurious slips and falls that may occur during walking on snowy/icy surfaces, in such a way that ;

- it is attached to the sole/heel of the shoes, and that it consists of slip

preventing arms and spikes positioned inside the main housing , and that such elements are activated through an actuating lever and come into contact with the ground and creates slip resistance which prevents the person wearing such mechanism from slipping, and that it is deactivated through actuating lever if there is no snowy/icy surface, and that it consists of a main housing, compression springs, slip-preventers moving part and compression part, actuating lever and a lid.
