Abstract:
This method is a predigestion step (A) for spray-depositing a high-temperature digestion chemical liquid on a raw material for pulp fed into a predigestion hopper (12) while recovering residual digestion chemical liquid immediately, and thereafter retaining the material for a predetermined period of time under an atmospheric pressure so as to promote the chemical separation thereof, and a primary digestion step (B) for beating the material, which has been subjected to the predigestion step (A), by a high-speed shearing machine (15) in such a way as to squeeze and massage the material with a high-speed shearing operation using as a medium a liquid flow containing a primary digestion chemical liquid.
