Abstract:
A nonwoven fabric for absorbent articles, which comprises a first fiber layer and a second fiber layer that is positioned on one main surface of the first fiber layer, and which is configured such that: the first fiber layer contains first sheath-core type composite fibers; the second fiber layer contains second sheath-core type composite fibers and cotton; the fineness (F1) of the first sheath-core type composite fibers is lower than the fineness (F2) of the second sheath-core type composite fibers; the value of (F2 - F1) is from 0.1 dtex to 1.5 dtex (inclusive); and the requirements described below are satisfied.
(i) The sheath component of the first sheath-core type composite fibers and the sheath component of the second sheath-core type composite fibers contain a polyethylene; the heat of fusion ∆H of the sheath component of the first sheath-core type composite fibers is 130 J/g or more; and the heat of fusion ∆H of the sheath component of the second sheath-core type composite fibers is 130 J/g or more.
