Abstract:
A nonwoven fabric (1) which comprises: first and second hydrophilic fiber-containing layers (11, 12) that are provided as the outermost layers; and a third hydrophilic fiber-containing layer (13) that is provided between the first and second hydrophilic fiber-containing layers (11, 12). The first and second hydrophilic fiber-containing layers (11, 12) are configured to contain no thermally expanded hollow particles, while the third hydrophilic fiber-containing layer (13) is configured to contain thermally expanded hollow particles in an amount of 5% by mass or more based on the total mass of the third hydrophilic fiber-containing layer (13). The bulk density of the nonwoven fabric is set to less than 0.10 g/cm3, and the water absorption scaling factor of the nonwoven fabric is set to 350 times or more.
