Abstract:
The present invention provides a nonwoven fabric for a wet wipe in which, when the nonwoven fabric is impregnated with a chemical liquid to form a wet wipe, the wet wipe is provided with a soil-wiping surface and a finishing wiping surface, the soil-wiping surface has an excellent performance in removing soil from a surface to be cleaned, and the finishing wiping surface recovers the soil and the chemical liquid that remains on the surface to be cleaned and has a reduced likelihood of damaging the surface to be cleaned. The nonwoven fabric (1) for a wet wipe is characterized in being provided with a hydrophilic nonwoven fabric layer (3) containing at least 50 mass% of a hydrophilic fiber, a hydrophobic nonwoven fabric layer (9) containing at least 50 mass% of a hydrophobic fiber, and a join part (15) for joining the hydrophilic nonwoven fabric layer (3) and the hydrophobic nonwoven fabric layer (9), the hydrophobic fiber containing a microfiber having a fineness of 0.3 dtex or less.
