Description:
A NOSE WING OPENING APPARATUS

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a magnetized nose wing opening device used in nose wing deficiencies that cause narrowing of the nasal valve angle, causing the nasal side walls to collapse while breathing and entrance of less air from the nose.

Prior Art

In the aesthetic surgeries, which are called rhinoplasty, lower lateral cartilages, that are in the nasal wings, are thinned to make the nose tip thinner and pointedAfterwards, to make the nose thinner, the cartilages under the tip of the nose are narrowed with the help of stitches.In some cases, these cartilage excisions and stitches which narrow tip of the nose cause the nose wings of the patient to collapse during inhalation after surgery.That is, the air drawn into the nasal passages creates negative pressure, causing the weak nose wings to approach the midline. In the surgeries defined as nasal valve surgery, nose wings are supported with parts taken from cartilage separating the nose into two air ducts. However, there is not enough cartilage to restore nasal valve insufficiency after surgery as most of the middle nasal cartilage is removed during previous surgery. In the market there are apparatuses that are placed in the back of the nose and in the nasal passage and in nose channel to expand the angle of the nasal valve in the case of insufficient nose wings.These apparatuses are used to open the nose wings by utilizing the elastic force of the steeLHowever, due to the reduction of the flexibility of the apparatus in the long-term use, the beneficial effect disappears over time. In addition, these apparatuses placed on the back of the nose have the risk of escaping into the nasal passages during sleep. In the Chinese utility model document CN202020795, which is known in the state of the art, a magnetic nose health apparatus is disclsoed.The invention disclosed in the said document comprises a corresponding fixing frame in the shape of nose, wherein magnetic parts are positioned on the inner side of the said fixing frame corresponding to the nostril and an elastic band is joining the magnetic parts. These magnetic parts create magnetic field and increase the oxygenation in the tissue. In said apparatus, magnets used to form magnetic field are placed on a mask, that is applied to the mouth and nose of the patient, with a tape.

Another Chinese utility model patent document CN2701419, known in the state of the art, refers to an apparatus which allows the opening of the nostrils to prevent snoring.In the disclosed embodiment, the apparatus has a U-shaped body and magnets that provide a magnetic effect at the tip. Said apparatus, by providing infrared magnetic therapy, enhances blood circulation and cell activity to prevent snoring.

Brief Description of the Invention

The object of this invention is to realize a magnetized nose wing opening apparatus, particularly prevents nose wings from collapsing when inhaling during sleep.

Another object of the invention is to realize a magnetic nose wing opening apparatus which does not require breathing from mouth by relaxing the breathing from the nose and thus preventing snoring.

The other object of the invention is to realize a magnetic nose wing opening device which enhances the performance of the person by providing relaxation of the breathing in situations requiring high activity such as sports. Detailed Description of the Invention A "nose flap opening device" for achieving the purpose of the present invention is shown in the attached figures;

B: Nose

V: Nasal valve

A nose wing opening apparatus (1) for use in nose wing insufficiency, according to present invention comprises;

- At least two magnets (2) that can be placed into the nose (B) wings such that the same polar ends are arranged towards one another to form a repelling force due to the magnetic area that forms, - at least one coating (3) comprising at least one magnet (2) such that the coating (3) covers the magnet (2)

In one embodiment of the invention, the coating (3) in the nose wing opening apparatus of the invention comprises two magnets (2) (Figure 6). In said embodiment, the nose wing opening device (1) can be used in a unitary manner, with each magnet (2) corresponding to each wing of the nose (B).

The apparatus (1) of the invention can also be applied separately by placing it in the wing of each nose (B) (Figure 3).

In a preferred embodiment of the nose wing opening apparatus (1) of the invention, a surface of the coating (3) comprises an adhesive tape (4) which allows the apparatus ( 1) to adhere to the skin in the nose (B) wing.In said embodiment, the apparatus of the present invention is attached to the nose (B) by adhering it on the skin from the outside.

In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the coating (3) surrounding the magnetic field forming magnets (2) is made from a material which is not perceived as a foreign material and which is not disposed of by the body tissue when it is placed under the skin and inside the tissue. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the coating (3) surrounding the magnets (2) forming the magnetic field is made of silicon. In the embodiment of the present invention, the magnet (2) having a coating (3) made of tissue- compatible material can be used by putting the same polar end towards one another under each skin in the each wing of nose (B) (Figure 7)The apparatus (1) of the invention can be used continuously throughout the day because the magnets (2) can be covered with tissue compatible material and implanted into the nose wing region.

In the nasal valve (V) region, which plays an important role during breathing from the nose (B), the nasal valve (V) angle is narrow and the weakness of the side walls of the nose (B) in this region causes the narrowing of the respiratory surface. This can lead to breathing from the mouth and snoring in the individuals. It also causes a decrease in the amount of air taken in situations that require deep breathing in daily life, which causes performance reduction. In the nose wing opening apparatus (1) according to the present invention, the magnets (2) having the same polarity form a pushing force to increase the angle of the nasal valve (V) so that the weakened nose (B) is supported.

Around these basic concepts, it is possible to develop a wide variety of applications for the invention "Opening of a Nose Wing (1)" and the invention is not limited to the examples disclosed herein, but essentially as specified in the claims.
