Abstract:
Provided is a notification device which is mounted upon a vehicle and which issues a notification of a risk of collision or contact, said device comprising: a speed determination unit which determines whether the speed of the vehicle is less than or equal to a speed which is associated with driving slowly; a risk determination unit which, if it has been determined that the speed of the vehicle is less than or equal to said speed, determines whether there is a risk of collision or contact with another vehicle which is traveling in the opposite direction thereto; and a notification unit which, if it has been determined by the risk determination unit that said risk is present, issues a notification toward the other vehicle of the risk by either a hazard blink display lamp or an alarm horn device of the vehicle.
