Abstract:
A notification device comprising: a detection unit (20) for detecting an object in the vicinity of a moving person; a relative position acquisition unit (302 and 304) for acquiring a relative position with respect to the object, using the detection unit as a reference; a storage unit (200) for storing sound information, in which sounds that are emitted from a plurality of positions distanced from a prescribed recording point in a prescribed recording space and that are recorded at the recording point in advance for each position are linked with the relative positional relationships between the recording point and each of the plurality of positions; and a selection unit (308) for selecting, from the sound information stored in the storage unit, the sound information corresponding to the relative position acquired by the relative position acquisition unit, said selection being made on the basis of the relative positional relationship corresponding to the relative position. Sound represented by the sound information selected by the selection unit is generated by a generation unit, and a notification of information pertaining to the object detected by the detection unit is provided to the moving person.
