Abstract:
This notification system for a vehicle is equipped with multiple notification devices (20A, 20B, 20C, 20D) for notifying a driver of information about a predetermined state quantity through at least one of the senses among the visual, auditory, and tactile senses of the driver. Each of the multiple notification devices executes notification upon having determined a notification level that indicates the intensity for providing a prompt of the information to the driver. Notification modes are determined on the basis of predetermined notification rules that define a notification mode for each notification level. The notification rules define the number of notification levels, the value of at least one kind of visual component for each notification level, the value of at least one kind of auditory component for each notification level, and the value of at least one kind of tactile component for each notification level. The visual component, auditory component, and tactile component are set such that the intensity for providing the prompt for those components to the sensory organs of the driver increases.
