Title:
NOVEL ANIONIC POLYMERIZATION INITIATOR, USE THEREOF FOR SYNTHESIZING A DIENE ELASTOMER HAVING AN ALKYNE FUNCTION AT THE CHAIN END, AND FUNCTIONALIZED DIENE ELASTOMER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/057082
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a novel anionic polymerization initiator of formula (I), wherein met can be carried by the ortho, meta or para position and is an alkaline metal; R1, R2, and R3 and R4 can be carried at the ortho, meta or para position and represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, or arylalkyl group; and R5 is an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, or arylalkyl group or a group protecting the alkyne function. The polymerization initiator can be used for synthesizing a diene elastomer having, at the or each of the ends thereof, a group containing the alkyne function that has a high functionalization rate.
