Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel antimicrobial peptide derived from skate skin and a use thereof. The antimicrobial peptide, of the present invention, composed of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 has an excellent antimicrobial effect against gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria and exhibits low cytotoxicity against human erythrocyte cells, and thus can be used for various purposes.
