Abstract:
The present invention pertains to providing a novel bioluminescent enzyme. One embodiment of the present invention is a polypeptide that has copepod luciferase activity and includes an amino acid sequence described in (i) to (iii): (i) the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 or 12; (ii) the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 or 12, wherein one or more amino acids have been substituted, added, or deleted; or (iii) an amino acid sequence having at least 90% identity with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 or 12.
