Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel atelocollagen and to a use thereof, and more particularly, the atelocollagen has a characteristic that the peak area for a β chain (Sβ) is larger than the second peak area for an α chain (Sα2) when being analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), such that once a physiologically active material is impregnated, the atelocollagen can reduce a rapid initial release of the physiologically active material in the body, or control a decrease in the effect of the physiologically active material due to too slow of an initial release. In addition, the atelocollagen of the present invention may exhibit an excellent cancer metastasis inhibitory effect.
