Title:
NOVEL BIFIDOBACTERIUM BACTERIA AND COMPOSITION INCLUDING NOVEL BIFIDOBACTERIUM BACTERIA
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/112053
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides: good bacteria that can be used beneficially across a wide range of age groups; and a composition that includes the good bacteria. Bifidobacterium longum subspecies longum NITE BP-02564 and/or Bifidobacterium longum subspecies longum NITE BP-02565; bacteria that are classified as Bifidobacterium longum subspecies longum that can utilize sialic acid; and a composition that includes the abovementioned bacteria. More preferably, a composition that includes sialic acid. More preferably, a composition that includes: at least one type of carbohydrate selected from the group that consists of arabinoxylan, arabinan, pectic galactan, and oligosaccharides derived from arabinoxylan, arabinan, and pectic galactan; or at least a carbohydrate derived from a Gramineae plant or a carbohydrate derived from a Solanaceae plant.
