Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an organic compound which is easy to synthesize and has excellent chemical stability, semiconducting properties (high carrier mobility) and high solubility in a solvent.
[Solution] A compound represented by formula (1) or formula (2).

[In formula (1), X is oxygen, sulfur or selenium; n is 0 or 1; and R1 to R3 are hydrogen, fluorine, an alkyl, aryl, pyridyl, furyl, thienyl or thiazolyl with 1 to 20 carbon atoms, etc., provided that except when X is selenium, all of R1 to R3 are not simultaneously hydrogen, and when X is sulfur, all of R1 are not simultaneously butyl. In formula (2), X is oxygen, sulfur or selenium; n is 0 or 1; and R1 and R2 are hydrogen, an alkyl, aryl, pyridyl, furyl, thienyl or thiazolyl with 1 to 20 carbon atoms, etc., provided that all of R1 and R2 are not simultaneously hydrogen.]
