Abstract:

A combined DC circuit breaker, comprising: a transfer branch, an energy absorption branch, at least two main branches and at least two auxiliary branches, wherein the transfer branch and the energy absorption branch are in parallel connection, and the main branches and the auxiliary branches are in one-to-one correspondence. The main branch is connected to a DC outgoing line of a DC bus in a high-voltage DC transmission system; the auxiliary branch is in serial connection with the transfer branch, and then in parallel connection with two ends of the main branch to which the auxiliary branch corresponds. The combined DC circuit breaker and the application method therefor are suitable for use in a DC system wherein a DC bus in a converter station has two or more outgoing lines, and can rapidly isolate faults such as faults of lines, bus or converter station which have occurred in the DC system, thus ensuring safety, reliability and economical operations of the DC system.
