Abstract:
A novel descent control device employing a novel escapement mechanism to control the rotating speed of the driving component of the descent control device and enable a person to descend at a constant speed; the novel descent control device consists of accessories such as a sheave gripping assembly (10), a planetary drive wheel train, an escapement mechanism assembly, an upper securing plate (18), a lower securing plate (6), a sheave (21) and the like; the escapement wheel teeth in the escapement mechanism are isosceles triangles, the number of teeth varying in the range of 4-10; and both the upper end and the lower end of the escapement wheel (11) are equipped with idler wheel slip assemblies (2). The descent control device has high reliability, ensures a constant descent speed, and is water proof and oil proof, convenient to use, and not affected by the external environment during storage.
