Title:
NOVEL FLUORESCENT AMINO ACID DERIVATIVE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2008/004529
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A novel fluorescent amino acid derivative that can be synthesized through a simple
process and that can be excited by visible rays, especially those of blue laser
light region, exhibiting high photostability; and a process for producing the
same. There is provided a fluorescent amino acid derivative comprised of an acridone
derivative substituted with an amino acid wherein an electrophilic substituent
is contained between the amino acid and the acridone derivative. There is provided
a process comprising, in place of the conventional procedure of forming a fluorophore
through subjecting aminophenylalanine as a starting material to coupling reaction
and intramolecular cyclization reaction, subjecting a fluorescent acridone
derivative as a starting material substance to site-specific electrophilic
substitution reaction to thereby generate a reactive point and coupling the
acridone derivative with the reactive point with an amino acid derivative.
