Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel glucose dehydrogenase and a method for producing the same, as well as the use thereof. [Solution] Provided is a flavin-binding glucose dehydrogenase having the following properties (1) through (4): (1) molecular weight: molecular weight of the polypeptide moiety of the enzyme as determined by SDS-polyacrylamide electrophoresis is approximately 81kDa, (2) Km value: Km value for d-glucose is approximately 20 mM or less, (3) temperature stability: stable at 50ºC or less, and (4) pH stability: stable at a pH within a range of 3.0 to 10.
