Abstract:
It is found out that a peptide represented by Met-Phe or a peptide represented by Met-Phe-Arg has an effect of promoting hair growth. Thus, it is intended to provide a novel peptide represented by Met-Phe-Arg and a hair growth stimulant containing as the active ingredient the peptide represented by Met-Phe or the peptide represented by Met-Phe-Arg. It is also intended to provide a method of promoting hair growth by using the above peptides. These peptides can exert the hair growth promoting effects via oral administration, which seemingly makes them highly useful.
