Abstract:
A herbal formulation which may be used as a food supplement for prevention, treatment and curing of diabetes and high cholesterol is disclosed. The product includes herbal and herbal spices available in Sri Lanka. It is aimed at correcting irregularities in the human body, ensure apt function of the pancreas, prevention of depositing plaque in the blood vessels and cleaning the blood vessels. The medicinal properties effect on the immunity system and on the islets of Langerhans of the pancreas to activate reactions in the metabolism system. Main ingredients in the product contains Plumbago Zeylanica (Called Ela Nithul in Sinhalese), Momordica charantia or bitter gourd (Called Batu Karavila in Sinhalese), Cinnamon Leaves and Cinnamon powder (Ceylon cinnamon). The preparation may intake as a capsule, tea bag or any other form like tablet, drink with mixing of tea (Camlia Sinensis).]
