Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel means for reducing the methanol utilization of a host cell and enhancing the yield of a target protein. The present invention solves this problem by providing a host cell having reduced methanol utilization by deactivating a gene set forth in the present invention, a host cell having enhanced target protein yield, and a vector for deactivating the gene. The present invention additionally provides a production method for a target protein using the host cell as a host.
