Abstract:
Novel isochroman compound pseudodeflectusin that is isolated from marine microbes parasitizing seaweeds and purified, having a chemical structure represented by the following formula (1) and that exhibits high growth inhibiting activity selectively to human carcinoma cell strains, thus being useful as a novel anticancer substance in a pharmaceutical product, functional food, etc.
