A novel kinetic energy-based electronic scale. The electronic scale comprises a platform (1), a base (2) and a main control panel (3), as well as a sensor module (4), a display screen module (5) and a power supply (6) separately electrically connected with the main control panel (3). The electronic scale further comprises a power generation module (7) and a commutating and voltage-stabilizing circuit (8), wherein the commutating and voltage-stabilizing circuit (8) is electrically connected with an output end of the power generation module (7) and an input end of the power supply, respectively, so as to realize electrical energy storage. The power generation module (7) comprises a multilevel gear set (71), a rack-bearing cover (72), a step plate (73) and a power generator (74), the rack-bearing cover (72) is drivingly connected with the multilevel gear set (71), a spring (731) disposed on the base is arranged in the rack-bearing cover (72), and an output end of the multilevel gear set (71) is drivingly connected with a drive end of the power generator (74). The electronic scale does not need an external power supply, thereby being energy-saving and environmentally-friendly, and does not impact the environment when being charged. Additionally, the electronic scale is simple and convenient to operate.
