Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel Lactobacillus paraplantarum CK401 having an antiviral effect and, more specifically, to novel kimchi-derived microorganism Lactobacillus paraplantarum CK 401 having inhibitory activity against an influenza virus and particularly against avian influenza virus, and a use thereof. Any one or more selected from the group consisting of Lactobacillus paraplantarum CK401 KCTC 13287BP, a culture medium of the Lactobacillus paraplantarum CK401 KCTC 13287BP and a 10kD membrane filter residue of the culture medium according to the present invention has an excellent antiviral effect and thus can be utilized for drugs, foods, fermented products, food additives, health supplements, feed, feed additives and the like, and shows enhanced antiviral activity even when mass-produced and thus can be well-utilized industrially.
