Title:
NOVEL LUCIFERASE-ENCODING GENE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/061906
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A gene coding for novel luciferase exhibiting properties such that at least coelenterazine can be used as a luminescence substrate thereof, and such that recombination expression can be effected using mammal cells as a host with secretion production effected outside the host cells. This gene coding for novel luciferase is a DNA molecule comprising a base sequence coding for the complete-length amino acid sequence of any of luciferase 1 and luciferase 2 being two types of luciferase proteins derived from M. pacifica, for example, a gene coding for the complete-length amino acid sequence of luciferase 1: MMEIQVLFAL ICFALVQANP TENKDDIDIV GVEGKFGTTD LETDLFTIVE DMNVISRDTN 60 LANSDADRGK MPGKKLPLEV LIEMEANARK AGCTRGCLIC LSKIKCTAKM KVYIPGRCHD 120 YGGDKKTGQA GIVGAIVDIP EISGFKELGP MEQFIAQVDL CADCTTGCLK GLANVKCSAL 180 LKKWLPDRCA SFADKIQSEV DNIKGLAGDR 210.
