Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel free radical scavenger which can solve problems occurring in existing free radical production inhibitors/scavengers, such as the induction of inflammation. Specifically, the present invention relates to: novel substances mangromicin D, mangromicin E, mangromicin F, mangromicin G, mangromicin H and mangromicin I; a free radical scavenger containing a mangromicin compound as an active ingredient; a therapeutic or prophylactic agent for a disease or disorder of which the onset or exacerbation is associated with the generation of excess free radicals, which contains a mangromicin compound as an active ingredient; and others.
