Title:
NOVEL MUCIN GLYCOPROTEIN AND USE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/020889
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel mucin glycoprotein. Also disclosed is a method for production of the mucin glycoprotein. A mucin glycoprotein having a repeated structure having 3 to 2000 of repeating units, each of the repeating units comprising an amino acid sequence represented by the formula I: Val-Xaa-Glu-Thr-Thr-Ala-Ala-Pro (wherein Xaa represents Val or Ile), and also having a sugar chain composed of one or more monosaccharides attached on at least one amino acid residue in the structure; a composition comprising the novel mucin glycoprotein; and a molecular weight marker comprising the novel mucin glycoprotein.
