Abstract:
Provided is a fluorine-containing polyether composition which comprises (a) an adduct formed by introducing a group (F1) represented by formula (I): C6F13(CH2)n-CH(OH)CH2- or a group (F2) represented by formula (II): C6F13(CH2)n-CH(CH2OH)- via addition reaction to one terminal of a polyethylene glycol (PEG) having an average molecular weight of 250 to 550, (b) an adduct formed by introducing groups (F1) or groups (F2) via addition reaction to both terminals of a PEG having an average molecular weight of 250 to 550, and (c) an unreacted PEG having an average molecular weight of 250 to 550 at a molar ratio of 50 to 90 : 3 to 30 : 0 to 30 (with the sum of (a), (b) and (c) being 100). In formulae (I) and (II), n is 1 to 10. The composition exhibits excellent fog-preventive effect (of preventing the occurrence of fog) and is useful as a low-environmental-load type fog-preventive agent for the film for agricultural use. Further, the composition exhibits an excellent surface-tension lowering effect, thus being also useful as a nonionic surfactant.
