Abstract:
Provided is a promoter suitable for the high-level expression of a gene of interest. A promoter comprising DNA selected from the group consisting of DNA molecules (a) to (d): (a) DNA which comprises a nucleotide sequence represented by any one of SEQ ID NOs: 1 to 3; (b) DNA which comprises a nucleotide sequence that has at least 70% identity to a nucleotide sequence represented by any one of SEQ ID NOs: 1 to 3 and which has a promoter activity; (c) DNA which comprises a nucleotide sequence produced by deleting, substituting or adding one or several nucleotides in a nucleotide sequence represented by any one of SEQ ID NOs: 1 to 3 and which has a promoter activity; and (d) DNA which can hybridize with DNA comprising a nucleotide sequence complementary to a nucleotide sequence represented by any one of SEQ ID NOs: 1 to 3 under stringent conditions and which has a promoter activity.
