Title:
NOVEL RIBITOL DEHYDROGENASE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING L-RIBULOSE USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/171636
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a ribitol dehydrogenase enzyme expressed in a novel ribitol dehydrogenase derived from an Enterobacter aerogen strain having ribitol dehydrogenase activity, a method for preparing a ribitol dehydrogenase enzyme from a strain transformed into a recombinant expression vector comprising the gene, and a method for producing L-ribulose by using the enzyme. A recombinant ribitol dehydrogenase enzyme according to the present invention specifically transforms ribitol only and can stably catalyze an enzyme reaction. The ribitoal dehydrogenase and the method for producing the L-ribulose using same, according to the present invention, can be efficiently used for mass production of L-ribulose.
