Abstract:
The present invention relates to: Siphoviridae bacteriophage STP-2 (accession number KCTC 12853BP) isolated from nature and characterized by having the ability to destroy Salmonella typhimurium and having a genome represented by SEQ ID NO: 1; and a method for preventing and treating diseases caused by Salmonella typhimurium by using a composition containing Siphoviridae bacteriophage STP-2 as an active ingredient.
