Abstract:
A tetra-phenolic compound/tetra-functionality epoxy resin, a preparation method and application thereof. The tetra-phenolic compound is obtained by reacting p-hydroxybenzaldehyde with an alkyl bromide, and then reacting the product therefrom with phenol or its derivative. The tetra-functionality epoxy resin is obtained by an epoxidation reaction of the phenolic groups of the tetra-phenolic compound. The tetra-functionality epoxy resin can be used in the curing reaction of a bisphenol A epoxy resin.
