Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to develop a protecting group that does not immobilize or insolubilize a compound in which a functional group is protected, and that allows easy separation and purification after a reaction.
Provided is a trityl compound represented by general formula (1) (in the formula: Y is a hydroxy group or a halogen atom; at least one of R1 to R15 is a group represented by formula (2), and the remainder is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl group, or a C1-C4 alkoxy group; R16 is a straight-chain or branched-chain C1-C16 alkylene group; X is O or CONR17 (where R17 is a hydrogen atom or a C1-C4 alkyl group); and A is a group represented by formula (3) or the like (where R18, R19, and R20 are, being the same or different, a straight-chain or branched-chain C1-C6 alkyl group, or an aryl group which may have a substituent group).
