Claims:
CLAIMS

1. The subject of the invention is related to the sheet metal cutting machines, characterized in that; it comprises the following; a. at least one sliding bearing plate (9) which is positioned on at least one side of the width adjustment group, b. at least one axis translation apparatus (1) on which the sliding bearing plate (9) is positioned and moved, c. at least one movement area (3) which is formed by the guard (10) on the bearing plate (8) which is located at the other side of the width adjustment group.

2. A sliding bearing plate (9) according to claim 1, characterized in that; it is supported on the width adjustment roll (6) and the width adjustment threaded rod (7).

3. A sliding bearing plate (9) according to claim 1, characterized in that; the surface on which the axis translation apparatus (1) is fitted has grooves compatible with the axis translation apparatus (1).

4. A sliding bearing plate (9) according to claim 1, characterized in that; the surface on which the axis translation apparatus (1) is fitted comprises a slide compatible with the axis translation apparatus (1).

5. A sliding bearing plate (9) according to claim 1, characterized in that; it can move on the axis translation apparatus (1) that is positioned on the bearing plate (8) in a horizontal manner.

6. An axis translation apparatus (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that; it comprises at least one apparatus head (2) which can make rotational movement by means of an appropriate key.

NOVELTY IN SHEET METAL CUTTING MACHINES

Technical Field

The subject of the invention is related to a width adjustment system with axis translation which is developed in order to eliminate some problems occurred due to the axis translation, since the width adjustment mechanism in the long sheet metal processing lines does not have a structure that can be able to adjust the axis translation during production.

Prior Art

The thin sheets obtained by cold rolling of the metals are transformed into a required product by means of cutting and/or forming methods and these activities are defined as the sheet metal processing. The sheet metal processing which was based on totally hand skill and man power in in the past, is performed by means of moulds under press in a serial manner. Also, together with the development of CNC sheet metal processing machines and similar new technologies, sheet metal processing methods are very important due to their being fast and economical.

In general, it is possible to classify the sheet metal processing methods as cutting, bending, spinning and stretch forming and deep drawing. Cutting process is the most widely used method of the sheet metal processing technique. In all other sheet metal processing methods except cutting, during forming of the material, on one hand it is extended by means of stretching and on the other hand it is forced to accumulation by means of pressing. When we consider the machines which perform cutting process and make a classification, the cutting processes can be classified respectively as; cutting with a hand scissor, cutting with guillotine shears, cutting by press and specific purpose press (CNC sheet metal processing machines). The duration of labor, material cost, mould cost and wastage amount of each cutting method is different. These factors directly influence the costs of the products produced in the enterprises.

The width adjustment mechanisms used in the present state of the art can adjust the width of the sheet metal, but since the width adjustment mechanisms are at the beginning of the line, it cannot be able to interfere to the deviations that can occur in the remaining parts of the line. Due to this deviation during raw material processing, the final products have some problems such as being non symmetrical, deviations in the dimensions of the side portions, undulations due to friction on the sides and edges. Wastage can occur at the sides of the sheet metals which cannot be sliced in a standard size and the wastage is junk. This condition leads to increase the production costs. As it is known, among the main aspects to decrease the operational costs, there is the requirement of minimizing the wastage amount.

The subject of the invention has a structure which increases efficiency and safety, is designed in a manner such that it eliminates the disadvantages in the applications with sheet metal cutting machines in the present state of the art.

Aim of the Invention

The present invention, in order to eliminate the above mentioned disadvantages and bring advantages to the relevant technical field, is related to a width adjustment group which is developed to be used in sheet metal cutting machines, and comprises axis translation and movement area.

Based on the present state of the art, the aim of the invention is to minimize the wastage amount due to axis translation in the sheet metal processing line.

Based on the present state of the art, another aim of the invention is to increase the operation efficiency by providing and effective time management and by eliminating the work force loss.

By means of the invention, according to the axis which exhibits variety in the continuous system used in the sheet metal cutting line, with the help of the width adjustment group positioned on the machine, wastage amount which is junk will decrease with a higher ratio by bringing the sheet metal axis equal to the line axis.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The novelty made in the sheet metal cutting machines for fulfilling the aim of the present invention is shown in the attached drawings.

The parts included in the above mentioned figures are enumerated as the following and hereinafter these numbers will be used in the description:

The invention is related to the novelty made in the sheet metal cutting machines, in Figure 1 the sectional view of the feeder which performs the processes in roll sheet metal forming lines, such as straightening the sheet metal coming from the decoiler, positioning and feeding into the line is given, in Figure 2 the sectional view of the axis translation apparatus (1) which is important for our invention and in Figure 3, the sectional view of the movement area (3) which is also important for our invention is shown.

The width adjustment is defined as the mechanism which brought the sheet metal axis to the operation axis even the width of the sheet metal changes I the sheet metal forming lines. The width adjustment group included in the prior art consists of; the handle (4), the mechanical indicator (5), the width adjustment roll (6), the width adjustment threaded rod (7) and the bearing plate (8). When the handle (4) is turned, the width adjustment id made in the sheet metal processing by moving the width adjustment roll (6) where there is a mechanical indicator (5), however in long sheet metal cutting and /or processing lines, the axis along the line where the sheet metal is present cannot be the same and an axis translation occurs on the sheet metal on the line. Some problems occur due to axis translation. These problems are mentioned above. In order to eliminate said problems, our invention is beneficial for sliding the whole width adjustment group on the axis. The axis translation process in the sheet metal processing machines is provided by means of the novelties developed with the axis translation apparatus (1), the movement area (3) and the sliding bearing plate (9). If it is required to describe a representative embodiment of the invention, the sheet metal is inserted in the line and the production begins. In the produced final product, in case problems such as wastage from the sheet metal sides mentioned above, the required measurements are made and the axis translation apparatus (1) are turned to the required direction and the sheet metal is brought to the required axis according to the amount of sliding the sheet metal axis to the required direction. Different from the prior art, the width adjustment group in the width adjustment system in other words parts such as the mechanical indicator (5), the width adjustment roll (6) and the width adjustment threaded rod (7) are directly supported by the sliding bearing plate (9) instead of the bearing plate (8). Therefore, together with the movement of the sliding sheet metal (9) by means of the axis translation apparatus (1), the whole of the width adjustment group can be slide on the axis.

In the inventive width adjustment system with axis translation, there is a threaded structure which is on the lower portion of said sliding bearing plate (9), enables the axis translation apparatus (1) to be positioned thereon. There is a similar threaded structure underneath said axis translation apparatus (1) which enables bearing plate (8) fits thereon. Thus the axis translation apparatus (1) is located between the bearing plate (8) and the sliding bearing plate (9) and engaged with both of them. The apparatus head (2) located on one end of the axis translation apparatus (1) enables the movement of the width adjustment group together with the sliding bearing plate (9) by means of rotating to the required direction. The alternative applications which enable the movement of the sliding bearing plate (9) are pneumatic systems, systems with slide and the like. Again in another alternative embodiment, the width adjustment group can be moved by mounting the axis translation apparatus (1) on any portion of the sliding bearing plate (9). When the sliding bearing plate

(9) is moved to the right and left, because the whole width adjustment group will move together with the mechanical indicator (5), width adjustment roll (6) and width adjustment threaded rod (7) which are positioned thereon, a movement area (3) is created on the bearing plate (8) which is on the other side of the sheet metal processing machine for moving the width adjustment group. Said movement areas (3) are limited by means of the guards
