[Problem] To provide a nozzle plate attachment structure for a fuel injection device with which the number of steps in the manufacture of the fuel injection device can be reduced and the manufacturing cost of the fuel injection device can be reduced. [Solution] When engagement protrusions (8) of a valve body (5) engage locking grooves (23) of a nozzle plate (3), and the valve body (5) and the nozzle plate (3) rotate relative to one another, the engagement protrusions (8) move within horizontal grooves (25) while elastically deforming arm parts (20) (elastically deforming parts), and the engagement protrusions (8) are accommodated in recesses (27) (the locking positions of the locking grooves (23)) of the arm parts (20). In addition, the bottoms (27a) of the recesses (27) of the arm parts (20) are pressed against the engagement protrusions (8) of the valve body (5) by the elastic force of the arm parts (20), and the engagement protrusions (8) of the valve body (5) are fixed in place while being seated in the bottoms (27a) of the recesses (27) of the arm parts (20). Thus, the nozzle plate (3) is fixed in place in the valve body (5) and is retained by means of the engagement protrusions (8) and the locking grooves (23) (a locking means).
