Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a nozzle plate for a fuel injection device, the nozzle plate being configured so as to reduce fuel adhering to the wall surface, etc. of an intake pipe by preventing fuel flowing out of the fuel injection opening of the fuel injection device from being blown over a wide area, thereby improving fuel utilization efficiency.
[Solution] A nozzle plate (5) has blades (13) formed surrounding a nozzle hole (10), the blades (13) being located on the outer surface (40) of a bottom wall section (15) in a region surrounding the nozzle hole (10). When fuel is injected from the nozzle hole (10) and pressure in the vicinity of the nozzle hole (10) decreases, the blades (13) guide the flow of air moving radially inward of the bottom wall section (15) from the outside radially of the bottom wall section (15) and generate the swirl flow of the air about the center of the bottom wall section (15). The fine particles of fuel injected from the nozzle hole (10) impart a momentum to the air which swirls about the center of the bottom wall section (15), thereby causing the air to flow helically. The helical flow of the air transports the fine particles of the fuel.
