Abstract:
Disclosed is a nozzle welding method which enables processing by automatic welding and efficient performance of work under high irradiation dose. Specifically disclosed is a nozzle welding method provided with: an overlay groove processing step for forming an overlay groove (21) by digging the inner surface (19) of a vessel in an approximately cylindrical shape within a region including at least a J groove (27); an overlay welding step for inserting a plug (31), which comprises a plug main body (33) having an inner end surface (37) that forms an extension of the outer surface (29) of the overlay groove (21) and a protrusion (35) protruding the inner end surface (37) and having an axis center that is approximately the same as that of the overlay groove (21), into an nozzle hole (13) such that the inner end surface (37) and the outer surface (29) of the overlay groove (21) substantially match each other, and forming an overlay welded portion in the overlay groove (21) by overlay welding; a vessel-side welding groove forming step for forming the J groove (27) in the overlay welded portion; and a nozzle attaching step for completing the J groove (27) part by inserting a nozzle and welding the J groove part.
