Abstract:
This nuclear power plant is provided with: a nuclear power generation system for generating electricity by driving a steam turbine by means of steam generated using a nuclear reactor; a hydrogen producing device for heating water vapor that has been generated from raw water by employing thermal energy of steam supplied from the nuclear power generation system, and then employing electric power supplied from an electric power grid or the like to perform electrolysis to produce hydrogen; and a heat supply system for supplying the hydrogen producing device with thermal energy for heating the water vapor generated by the hydrogen producing device. The heat supply system is configured to store the electric power supplied from the electric power grid or the like as energy in a predetermined form, and to supply the energy that has been stored in said predetermined form to the hydrogen producing device as thermal energy.
