Abstract:
Provided are: a nucleating agent composition capable of imparting excellent mechanical properties to a molded article comprising a polyolefin-based resin; a resin composition comprising the nucleating agent composition; a molded article of the resin composition having excellent mechanical properties; and a method for manufacturing a resin composition. This nucleating agent composition is characterized by comprising at least one kind of nucleating agent for a polyolefin-based resin and by having a β-crystal fraction, calculated using the method, of 0.2-71%. Differential scanning calorimetry is performed with a prescribed program, using a specimen sampled from pellets of a resin composition comprising a nucleating agent composition. In the calorimetry, with the horizontal axis being temperature θ (°C) and the vertical axis being heat flow rate Q (mW), a DSC curve Q=f(θ) and a base line g(θ) are determined to obtain a baseline-corrected DSC curve Q'=h(θ)＝f(θ)－g(θ). In addition, following a prescribed procedure, a line surface area St and a β-crystal surface area β are determined and the β-crystal fraction (%) is calculated. β-crystal fraction=Sβ/St×100 (%)
