NUCLEIC ACID HOMOLOGUE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1993/024512
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An object of the invention is to provide a novel antisense molecule utilizable as a medicine which suppresses infection with herpesvirus, influenza virus, human immunodeficiency virus or the like and the action of cancer genes. The nucleic acid homologue of the invention is one represented by general formula (I), wherein X and Y may be the same or different from each other and each represents S or O; B?1¿, B?2¿, B?3¿ and B?4¿ may be the same or different from one another and each represents adenine, guanine, hypoxanthine, cytosine, thymine or uracil; and n represents an integer of 1 or above, provided that B?2¿ and B?3¿ need not necessarily be one and the same base when n is 2 or above.
