Abstract:
A first calculation unit (102) synthesizes the measured value of acceleration of each of axes X, Y, and Z having been measured by a measurement unit (101) and calculates synthesized acceleration. A second calculation unit (103) calculates the acceleration in the body axis direction (vertical direction) of a wearer who wears the measurement unit (101) from the measured value of acceleration of each of the axes X, Y, and Z. A third calculation unit (104) calculates the amplitude of temporal change of acceleration in the body axis direction having been calculated by the second calculation unit (103). A reference setting unit (105) sets a reference time that is thought of as being one step on the basis of the amplitude calculated by the third calculation unit (104). A walk detection unit (106) detects, on the basis of the synthesized acceleration, a one-step walking motion of the wearer in which a one-step time fits within the reference time.
