Abstract:
Disclosed is a numerical control device that is of a machine tool provided with a linear shaft and a rotary shaft and of which the position and bearing of a tool with respect to a workpiece is controlled, and that is characterized by being provided with: a dividing method determination unit that, on the basis of a rotary command shaft, the direction of command rotation of the aforementioned rotary command shaft, and the position of the tool, determines as the dividing method either a rotary dividing method that causes only the rotary shaft to operate, or a tool tip position maintaining dividing method that causes the rotary shaft and the linear shaft to operate causing the maintenance of the position of the tool tip with respect to the workpiece; a moved distance calculation unit that calculates the distance moved of each shaft on the basis of the aforementioned rotary command shaft, the aforementioned direction of command rotation of the rotary command shaft, the aforementioned position of the tool, and the aforementioned dividing method determined by the dividing method determination unit; and an output unit that outputs a position command to a servo amplifier on the basis of the aforementioned distance moved that the aforementioned moved distance calculation unit calculates.
