Abstract:
A numerical control device (1) according to the present invention, which controls the operation of a machine tool (2) for machining a workpiece with a tool, comprises: an identification operation generation unit (14) which generates an identification operation command that changes a spindle rotational speed and a feed rate independently and continuously; a data acquisition unit (16) which synchronizes a control signal for controlling the machine tool generated on the basis of the identification operation command with an operation state signal representing the operation state of the corresponding machine tool (2) and outputs a synchronized result as identification data; a vibration determination unit (12) which determines whether the vibration state of the machine tool (2) is stable machining, chatter vibration, or forced vibration on the basis of the identification data; and an identification unit (13) which selects, on the basis of the determination result of the vibration determination unit (12), an identifiable machining characteristic parameter as a selection parameter, from among machining characteristic parameters representing the characteristics of machining a workpiece with a tool, and identifies the selection parameter by using the identification data.
