Abstract:
Provided is a technology that makes it possible to promote the growth, in the presence of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), of probiotics that have a low ability to assimilate HMOs. Provided is a nutritional composition that contains Bifidobacterium bifidum bacteria, at least one type of probiotic that has a low ability to assimilate human milk oligosaccharides, and human milk oligosaccharides. This nutritional composition is suitable for use in foods/drinks, drugs, quasi-drugs, feed, and the like.
