Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide an object detecting device with which an operator is not required to perform a complex on-site operation, and with which the number of components can be reduced, despite it being possible to define a detection range. This object detecting device is provided with: at least two sensor units (31, 32) which receive detection beams from within mutually different detection areas (A1, A2), wherein the mutually different detection areas are positioned in a vertical direction, and centerlines (C1, C2) of the detection areas (A1, A2) extend obliquely downward in mutually different directions; and an object/human body detection determining means (62), which is an object detection determining means (62) for detecting an object in a detection range on the basis of one or two or more of at least two detection signals (SA1, SA2) corresponding to respective reception amounts of the detection beams received by the at least two sensor units (31, 32), wherein the detection range is defined by setting a reference (F1th) relating to the at least two detection signals (SA1, SA2).
