An object detection apparatus (10) provided with a radar device (21) and a monocular camera (22), the object detection apparatus characterized by being provided with: a radar detection object position detection unit that detects the position of a radar detection object; an image detection object position detection unit that detects the position of an image detection object that is a specified object; and a same-object determination unit that, when it is temporarily determined that the radar detection object and the image detection object are the same object, and the image detection object is determined to be a prescribed object, determines that the radar detection object and the image detection object are not the same object, and when it is temporarily determined that the radar detection object and the image detection object are the same object, and the image detection object is determined by a prescribed object determination unit to not be the prescribed object, determines that the radar detection object and the image detection object are the same object.
